This session equips coaches and club owners with strategies to create a safe, supportive, and trusting atmosphere in the gym. By understanding the impact of stress and trauma on athletes, coaches will learn how to foster an environment where gymnasts feel secure to take risks, make mistakes, and thrive. Participants will learn to identify the key factors that contribute to psychological safety and how they affect athlete performance and well-being; gain strategies to recognize and respond to gymnasts’ emotional and psychological needs to create a supportive gym environment; and explore techniques for building trust and ensuring gymnasts feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and making mistakes without fear of judgment.
